Requirements:
Daisies must complete 3, Brownies must complete 4, Juniors must complete 5, Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors must complete 7. Everyone must complete #2.
a. Write a "backwards" Fairy tale. Start with "And they all lived happily ever after", and end the story with "Once Upon a Time."
b. Pick a fairy tale and write about what happens after "And they all lived happily ever after."
c. Write a "fractured" fairy tale. Tell the story from the villain's point of view.
d. Swap the villains in a fairy tale. What would happen if the wolf from Little Red Robin Hood chased Hansel and Gretel? What are some others you could swap?
e. Set a fairy tale in modern times. Let your troop or family members guess which fairy tale it originally was.
3.Play a game with fairy tale characters in it.
4. Make a food, snack, or drink from a fairy tale. Some examples are: toadstool pizzas, fizzy fairy soda, or dirt in a cup. (see the resources links for more ideas)
5. Make a craft from a fairy tale.
6. Use different building materials (ie sticks, marshmallows, popsicle sticks, etc) to experiment with building different structure types like in the Three Little Pigs. Which structure are the strongest?
7. Attend or host a magical event, tea, or fairy tale themed party.
8. Play “Pass the Story.” Start the story with “Once Upon a Time…” and have each person add a line to the story.
9. Make a costume or accessory, such as a crown, from a fairy tale. Dress up like a fairy tale character.
10. As a troop, perform a fairy tale puppet show. Make your own puppets and background.
11. Read an original fairy tale like from Grimm’s fairy tale’s or Hans Christian Andersen. How has it been changed? Why do you think they were? They might be scary for younger girls, so ONLY Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors can do this requirement.
12. Try drawing your own fairy tale character. For extra, research how they are drawn for movies or books.
13. Act out a skit or play that resembles a fairy tale.
14. Read a fairy tale to the elderly, your family or friends, or younger girls.
